MaiVue Xiong
Executive Director
MaiVue Xiong (she/her) is the Executive Director of Pablo Foundation. MaiVue grew up in Eau Claire, moved away to go to school, and returned home in 2010 to practice law. After witnessing the positive changes Pablo Group brought to the Eau Claire area in recent years, MaiVue joined Pablo Foundation in January 2020 as its Executive Director. As a refugee, an immigrant, and a first-generation student, MaiVue understands firsthand the challenges of inadequate housing, health, and educational opportunities and the life-changing impact an organization like Pablo Foundation can have on its community members.
MaiVue is fluent in written and spoken Hmong. In addition to studying Hmong culture, language, art, and history, MaiVue enjoys traveling, hiking, early morning boot camp style workouts, and spending time with her family.
MaiVue is also Of Counsel to the law firm Bakke Norman, S.C.
Zach Schultz-Bates
Grants & Communications Administrator

Zach Schultz-Bates (they/he) is the Grants and Communications Administrator for the Pablo Foundation. He grew up in Wisconsin and received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from UW-Eau Claire. After working as a high school English teacher for a decade, Zach joined the Pablo Foundation in 2022, bringing with them a passion for meaningful, growth-oriented collaboration. As an educator as well as a queer and neurodivergent person, Zach has seen firsthand the vastly improved impacts on people when the value of their diversity is not only acknowledged but celebrated.
Zach’s core axiom is that all people deserve to live and be treated with dignity and respect; he is honored to work for Pablo Foundation which prioritizes that value daily.
In their personal life, Zach loves comedy, games (video, card, and board), crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and time spent with their loved ones. Zach lives in Eau Claire with his beloved family.
